Throttle Hills is now available on Google Play

After weeks of testing, Throttle Hills is available to everyone on Google Play. It is a 2D driving game where physics, throttle control and handling in the air are what count, and it is now a free download on any Android phone or tablet. Here is what the launch version brings.

Free, in 12 languages

Throttle Hills is a free download on Google Play and is translated into Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Romanian, Indonesian and Russian. You do not need an account to play. The iPhone and iPad version is ready and in review with Apple: it will reach the App Store soon.

Friend challenges, against their ghost

Every run is recorded. When you challenge a friend, you see a transparent shape on the track: that is their real run, recorded on their phone. You add friends with a friend code, from rivals you have met or from your Play Games friends. Pick a track, make your run and send it: your friend has 48 hours to answer, and the challenge reaches them in the in-game inbox and with a notification. At the end you see who won and by how much, your head-to-head score and a one-tap rematch.

27 achievements and three leaderboards

With Google Play Games there are 27 achievements to unlock, from your first jumps to full flips in the air, and three online leaderboards: the endless mode record, total stars and wins. Progress is saved in the cloud, so unlocked vehicles, customisations and coins follow you to a new phone.

25 vehicles and 16 worlds

You start in a small city car and work up to an electric hypercar, by way of a monster truck, a tractor, a school bus, a Formula single-seater and a lunar rover. There are 16 tracks, from green hills to the Moon with its low gravity, including three Stunt tracks full of ramps, ditches and elevated bridges. There is also an endless mode: keep going as long as you can, with ever steeper hills and ever scarcer fuel. In the workshop every vehicle can be customised with paint, decals, rims, neon and a sticker with your own photo or name.

One-time Premium, no subscription

The game is complete for free: reward videos are optional, and an ad may appear between races. If you prefer, you can buy Premium once: it unlocks every vehicle and track, removes the ads between races and grants the video bonuses straight away, without watching them.

Get it on Google Play
