Throttle Hills 1.7: Halloween, 8 new worlds and 9 new vehicles

Version 1.7 of Throttle Hills is our biggest update since launch: eight new worlds, nine vehicles, two cups and eight achievements, plus the first seasonal event, for Halloween. It comes to Google Play as a free update.

Eight new worlds

Mars, Glacier, Misty Swamp, Abandoned Mine, Construction Site, City Rooftops, Salt Flats and Tropical Island. Each world has something of its own: ice that makes the wheels slide, mud and fords to cross, tunnels, wind on the salt flats that pushes you forward or holds you back, and bridges that collapse as you pass. That makes 24 tracks.

Nine new vehicles

Snowmobile, amphibian, rally raid truck, kart, sidecar, lowrider, Mars rover, ice cream van and snowplow. Several have a special talent: the amphibian sails on when the track runs into water, the lowrider jumps on its hydraulic suspension, the six-wheel rover grips anything and the snowplow gets through deep snow. That makes 34 vehicles in all.

Halloween, October 20 to November 5

For two weeks the game dresses up for Halloween: pumpkins and candy on the tracks, themed music and the haunted Halloween Night track, with its own medals and the Spider Web livery to win for your car. In December it's Christmas' turn, with the Christmas Village.

Two cups and eight achievements

The Extreme Cup and the Horizons Cup arrive, along with eight new Google Play Games achievements, for 35 in total. Challenges between friends still work with players who haven't updated yet: every track's terrain stays the same for both.

Update from Google Play

Throttle Hills is free on Google Play for Android, and 1.7 arrives as an automatic update. The iPhone and iPad version is coming soon to the App Store.
