The Lalo workbook is on Amazon
Published on October 13, 2026
Lalo, the friendly pencil from our app for children aged 3 to 6, has stepped off the screen: the workbook “Lalo – Trace & Color!” is available on Amazon in paperback. It is meant to go with the app, not to replace it: the same letters and the same way of guiding the hand, this time with pencils and crayons.
One letter per page
For every letter from A to Z there is a big letter to trace, with a numbered starting dot and arrows showing the right direction of each stroke, just like in the app; a picture to colour that starts with that letter — A for Apple, B for Ball, C for Cat —; and handwriting lines with uppercase and lowercase letters to trace over the dots.
Numbers, pictures and a diploma
After the alphabet come the numbers 0 to 9, to trace, colour and count, then 12 big pictures to colour and, at the very end, a diploma to hang on the wall. 56 pages in a large format (8.5 × 11 in), for children from preschool to first grade: it builds pre-writing skills, hand-eye coordination and recognition of letters and numbers.
From paper to the app
Inside the workbook there is a QR code to keep playing with the Lalo app, with a voice that reads the letters and 18 educational games. It works the other way round too: since version 1.3, a card in the app's parents' area leads to the workbook in the right language. The app is still free of ads, on Android and on iPhone and iPad.
In four languages
Each edition is written in its own language, with its own words and pictures, not machine-translated: the English, Italian, French and German editions are available today, each on its own Amazon store. The app's other languages will follow.
